RootsTech 2023 has revealed that this year’s keynote speaker will be singer, songwriter, and actress Jordin Sparks. Registrations are currently still open for the weekend conference taking part on the 2nd-4th of March.

Hosted by FamilySearch, RootsTech is a weekend-long conference providing the opportunity to learn, be inspired, and find out more about family history.
The event is sponsored by various genealogy organisations and brings together experts from across the world to provide the best tips for researching family history.
The theme for RootsTech 2023 is “Uniting.” RootsTech is all about bringing people, stories, memories, technology, innovation, communities and, ultimately, families together.
Who is Jordin Sparks?
Jordin first rose to fame when she became the winner of season 6 of American Idol. She was only 17 years old at the time, meaning she became the youngest winner in the series history.
Since then, Jordin has gone on to release multiple hit singles, selling over 10 million digital tracks in the United States. Jordin has performed at many major events such as Super Bowl XLII, NASCAR’s Daytona 500, and the Indy 500.
Jordin is also a talented songwriter, writing songs for Ariana Grande and achieving a BMI songwriting award. She has toured with several superstars (including Britney Spears and Alicia Keys) and even featured in some Hollywood blockbusters (In the Heights, Sparkle).
Over the past few years, Jordin has taken a step back from her music career in order to spend more time focusing on her family life.

Jordin has always been family orientated, explaining it as a “never-ending, deep, deep love that you don’t even realize is emanating from you.”
Jordin met her husband, Dana Isaiah, through an introduction by their mothers. Whilst initially a friendship, the pair eventually progressed the relationship further and got married in 2017. A year later, they welcomed a baby boy to their family.
Jordin’s husband and son are a major part of her life as she starts making her way back into the business scene, releasing her new album in January 2023.

As Jordin participates in RootsTech 2023 as one of the General Keynote Speakers, she will speak to the theme of ‘Uniting’ within the context of her own life story and unique experiences.
