The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, located in Yorba Linda, California, is one of the 15 Presidential Libraries in the United States.

These libraries are part of the Presidential Library system, which is administered by the National Archives and Records Administration. The library is dedicated to preserving and providing access to the historical materials of Presidents Herbert Hoover through Donald Trump.

The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum opened its doors in 1990, with Richard Nixon himself in attendance. The library is located on the same grounds where Nixon was born and raised. The museum houses over 70 exhibits, including a replica of the Oval Office, a timeline of Nixon’s life, and exhibits on the Vietnam War, Watergate, and foreign policy. The library also contains an extensive collection of documents, photographs, and audiovisual recordings related to Nixon’s presidency.

In 2007, the library underwent a major renovation, which included the construction of a new museum and a redesign of the exhibits. The library also became part of the National Archives and Records Administration, which took over the management of the facility. The library has since hosted numerous events and programs, including lectures, film screenings, and exhibits.

Recently, Tamara K. Martin was appointed as the new Director of the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum. Ms. Martin brings with her extensive experience in leading archival operations and public programs for the State of California. She previously served as the California State Archivist, where she directed one of the largest state archives in the United States and oversaw the division-wide implementation of new technology and funding, more accessible public services, and expanded public programming, educational resources, and exhibits celebrating California’s history and diversity.

The Richard Nixon Foundation, which supports the library, has expressed its enthusiasm for Ms. Martin’s appointment and looks forward to working with her to advance the legacy of President and Mrs. Nixon. With Ms. Martin’s leadership, the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum is sure to continue to be a valuable resource for preserving and providing access to the historical materials of President Richard Nixon’s presidency.
